About Working For Wags

Our Pack

Our team is made up of vet techs, vet assistants, dog daycare specialists, and dog-trained professionals in Tucson, AZ. Our dog sitters are 18+ and go through a series of steps to ensure they are qualified to work with your pets including basic dog care protocol & procedures and background checks.

Frankie (& Robert), Founder & Chief Canine Officer

With experience running multiple successful businesses, many hours of experience training and being trained by dogs, as well as a long history of being animal lovers, the team decided it was time to pursue a shared dream to create a safe place for dogs (dogsoftucson.com) and solve a recurring problem of never having someone experienced available to watch their pack when they wanted to take a vacation. 🐾

Our pack consists of Max, Maddie, and Macy, a tortoise named Micheal, and a chicken named Ethan.

Frankie & Macy host:

Milena, Chief Canine Officer & Sitter

Milena has always loved animals and is constantly seeking their company. She has been traveling extensively, pet sitting, and has made many furry friends all over the U.S. and Mexico. Milena has also been in the business world all her life, helping companies with accounting, finance, HR, contract management, and compliance.

Over the last few years, she has been telling all of her friends that her next venture would involve animals. That’s when she came across the concept of Dogs of Tucson and immediately knew that it would be a great fit.

Angela, Sitter

Hello! I’m Angela. I grew up with dogs, cats, and fish all my life. I have 3 cats and each one is completely different from the others but in the end, all know when “Mom” need a cuddle cause we had a long day. I have 6 fish tanks so I can offer experienced care for your fish babies as well. I even had an iguana and a ferret.

My passion for animals took me to Vet Tech School in 2006 where I was able to help hands-on with lots of animals and give them the care they deserve and educate owners for their furbabies. I’ve been petsitting since 2006 including overnight care, medications, and special needs animals, and love my longtime clients and their pets.

In my spare time, I love to travel so we understand the need for good pet care.  I’d love to meet you and give your furbabies the comfort and care of being safe at home while you are away. 🐾

Cole, Sitter

Hello, I am Cole! Ever since I was a kid, I have been extremely passionate about dogs and knew they would play a big role in my life. I got my first dog when I was five, and he changed everything. Ever since then, I have made an effort to spend as much time with dogs as I can. It is always exciting to meet a new dog and learn all of their funny quirks.

My first job was at a dog boarding facility in Boise, where I gained lots of experience and knowledge of how to properly care for dogs and how to read their behavior to provide them with the best possible care. Later on I began working at a PetHotel, where I spent the majority of my day in a playroom with up to 15 dogs. This was a valuable experience for me because I got to spend time with every possible type of dog and learn all their different quirks. In the two years I spent there, I dealt with every possible issue that could arise while caring for dogs, which made me much more comfortable in my abilities to safely handle other people’s pets and stay calm in emergencies. Outside of my work at these places I also pet sat for family, friends and coworkers. I had so much fun getting to spend time with them and making sure they were all happy and safe while their owners were away.
I have always thought of pets as an important part of a family and they should be treated as such. I will show every dog I work with the same love and care that I give my own dogs. I am excited to meet new dogs and provide them with the best possible care! I will keep owners updated on everything that I do with their dog and send lots of pictures of our time together.

Grace, Sitter

Hi! My name is Grace, and I am currently a student at the University of Arizona studying Veterinary Science. I’ve always enjoyed the company of my furry friends (as well as scaly, slimy, and all sorts of other critters!) and love to help others pets feel safe while their families are away. I currently have a variety of pets including a cat (Hitch), dogs (Scout, Annie, Drago, and Rudy), reptiles (Stanlee and Franklin), chickens (So many ladies!), fish (Kevin), and a parrot (Willow), and previously cared for show livestock such as pigs, goats, and lambs as an active member of the FFA for four years! I also care for livestock owned by the University of Arizona at the campus farm, and thoroughly enjoy the learning opportunities that has given me, such as certification in Cat and Dog First Aid. There is no animal too big or too small to fit into my care, and I enjoy the experience of taking care of exotics, livestock, and small animals alike!

Other than my love for animals and caring for critters, I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors through activities such as camping and hiking. I love watching wildlife in its natural habitat and have spent a lot of time in the forests of Arizona. You can rest assured knowing that your pets will receive the best care possibly under my supervision, and you will receive ample updates on the latest news on the happiness of your furry family members when they can’t be with you!

Katelyn, Sitter

Hi, I’m Katelyn! Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up with family dogs and spending time trail riding with my grandma sparked my passion for animals and their care. That passion led me to participate in FFA, where I showed market steers, which helped me develop my interest in veterinary medicine.

I recently graduated from Pima JTED’s Veterinary Science Program, and I am an NAVTA Approved Veterinary Assistant (AVA). I’m also certified in Pet CPR, First Aid, and Fear-Free Animal Handling. My education and hands-on experience have given me valuable skills in animal care, behavior, and handling techniques to ensure pets feel safe and comfortable.

At home, I’m lucky to have two wonderful dogs—Stella, an 85-pound Hound Lab mix, and Saddie, a 55-pound Tolle-Aussie mix. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience working with various livestock, including horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs.

Currently, I work at our sister company Dogs of Tucson, so my availability is limited to check-ins and dog walks. However, I am committed to providing attentive, reliable care while maintaining pets’ normal routines in their familiar environment. I know how important it is to trust someone with your home and beloved pets. This is why I always prioritize respect, attention to detail, and clear communication—including regular updates and photos—so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members and providing them with the best care possible!

Kaylee, Sitter

Hi! My name is Kaylee, and I’m an Approved Veterinary Assistant with over 3 years of pet sitting and animal care experience. I’m currently a full-time student at Pima Community College, working toward a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Arizona, with plans to continue on to veterinary school.

Animals have been my passion since I was young, and I’m dedicated to improving their health, happiness, and quality of life. Through Pima JTED’s Veterinary Science program, I’ve gained hands-on experience in animal handling, grooming, and basic veterinary care. I’ve also volunteered at Pima Animal Care Center, assisting in the neutering of local feral cats, and worked at the Pima JTED Class Pet Clinic providing grooming and care.

Whether I’m caring for pets in your home or volunteering in the community, my goal is always the same — to provide safe, loving, and reliable care for every animal I meet.

Kianna, Sitter

Greetings!! My name is Kianna. I grew up with many different animals here in the desert. I started with hermit crabs, lizards and small snakes, then cats and dogs.

My passion for animals guided me to pursue some scientific and veterinary knowledge once I graduated high school. I went to veterinary tech school in 2010 at Pima Community College, which provided me with knowledge and hands-on experience in the veterinary field. After gaining some experience working as a veterinary technician for a couple of years, I started to branch out and pet sit, offering daily visits, knowledge and experience medication animals and overnight care. Through working in the field of veterinary medicine for the past 10 years, I have gained insight into taking care of special needs animals, Fear Free certification and shelter medicine. Now I am focusing on finishing up my Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences.

Currently, my partner Jacob and I have 2 cats, Nusance and Kitty. Kitty is the I-want-your-attention kind of cat and Nusance is my sweet, sometimes cranky old lady, both of whom I love very much. Jacob and I like the great outdoors, including traveling, hiking and rock climbing. We both understand the need to have someone you trust take care of your fur babies while you are gone. I look forward to meeting you and taking care of your fur babies as if they were my own.

Payton, Sitter

Hello! Pleased to meet you, my name is Payton. I am an Engineering Student at the University of Arizona and a long-time lover of animals. I have 14 years of equine experience teaching lessons in both Western and English disciplines along with experience in maintaining and caring for horses of a variety of breeds. Growing up, I was no stranger to pets personally owning multiple reptiles from tortoises to leopard geckos all the way to fuzzy rats.

I am a large dog breed lover, I am especially a big fan of my beloved “mini horse” Stella, my 6-year-old Bloodhound. I have worked closely with pitbull rescues in the past and am comfortable with stronger breeds. I also have experience with both large and small fish tanks and am extremely comfortable with live feedings if necessary for care. I’ve had the opportunity to work with a vast variety of pet breeds and I treat each animal I encounter as if it were my own. Your pet is more than a pet, they are family. I look forward to meeting, caring for, and loving your furry friends while you’re away.

Samantha, Sitter

Hi! My name is Samantha. I recently graduated from the University of Arizona, where I have a degree in Veterinary Science, as I have always been passionate about understanding and caring for animals from a medical perspective to a behavioral perspective. I’ve also raised sheep during high school through FFA, and have been exposed to various other livestock species as well.

At home, I have my own fur babies. I have my pit bull mix dog, Chori, my shy and sweet calico cat, Ippy, and my food-loving senior cat, Cookie! I understand how much pets are truly a part of the family. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, a cuddle, or special attention, I treat every animal like they’re my own.

  • I'd give them 10 stars if I could! The sitters are wonderful!! They are true animal lovers, and I trust them fully. One of my dogs has epilepsy, so finding sitters comfortable with the risk of a seizure can be tough. But, they came fully prepared and knowledgeable about what to do. If you love your dogs like I do, I highly recommend them!! 🐕💙

  • We have used Working for Wags twice now, one for an overnight stay and this last time for a week long vacation. I am nervous leaving our pups; it helps a lot knowing they are in our home and not in a kennel. The communication was fabulous both times. I loved receiving pictures of our pups while we were away! Isabel was amazing! I have one pup who can be particular with people; she warmed right up to Isabel! We will definitely use Working for Wags in the future! Thank you for helping to make our vacation great!

  • We had a great first experience with Working for Wags! They came to our house to feed our two pups for several days while we were on vacation. Following their visits, they sent us updates by text and pictures by email, both which were greatly appreciated. They also helped us try to troubleshoot some odd behavior from our dogs, which turned out to be related to a smoke alarm that required battery replacement and was scaring the pups. Overall, we had a very positive experience and will definitely use Working for Wags again when we are out of town. :-)

  • I can't recommend Working For Wags enough! They worked hard to win over my two timid/uncertain dogs during the initial meet and greet and the subsequent trial runs we had prior to leaving on vacation. The dogs loved Payton and she sent lots of updates and pictures. This is absolutely the way to go if you have dogs like mine that don't do well in a boarding facility environment. Working For Wags took away the stress (and guilt) of leaving my boys and made sure they had an enjoyable time while we were away.

  • I recommend 100% the service provided by Working For Wags. I found my 16-year-old cat well and relaxed when I returned from vacation. Frankie made it easy to arrange for someone responsible to attend to all his needs with lots of TLC. I received texts and pictures daily. I would hear back quickly if I had questions or needed to change some of the instructions already given. All my gratitude for their outstanding care.
