Pet Service Agreement
Working for Wags Pet Sitting Agreement
This Pet Sitting Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Working for Wags LLC (“Company”) and the undersigned pet owner (“Client”).
By signing this Agreement, Client acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to the following terms.
1. Authorization for Care
Client authorizes Working for Wags LLC and its employees, contractors, and authorized pet sitters to care for the pets listed in the Client Profile during the scheduled service dates.
Client confirms that they are the legal owner or authorized caretaker of the pets.
2. Health and Vaccinations
Client certifies that all pets are current on legally required vaccinations and are free of any known contagious illnesses unless disclosed in writing prior to services.
Client agrees to disclose:
- Medical conditions
- Behavioral concerns
- Bite history
- Anxiety or fear issues
- Escape tendencies
- Aggression toward people or other animals
- Any other information necessary to safely care for the pet.
Failure to disclose known behavioral or medical issues may result in immediate termination of services.
3. Veterinary Care Authorization
If a medical emergency occurs and the Client cannot be reached, Client authorizes Working for Wags LLC to seek veterinary treatment deemed reasonably necessary.
The Company will make reasonable efforts to contact the Client and the emergency contact before obtaining treatment.
Client accepts full financial responsibility for all veterinary expenses incurred. Working for Wags LLC is not responsible for the outcome of veterinary treatment.
4. Home Access
Client agrees to provide safe access to the home.
Working for Wags LLC is not responsible for delays or missed visits due to:
- malfunctioning locks
- inaccessible homes
- security systems not disclosed
- weather
- road closures
- emergencies
- acts beyond our reasonable control
5. Assumption of Risk
Client understands that caring for animals carries inherent risks.
These risks include, but are not limited to:
- illness
- injury
- accidental escape
- bites
- scratches
- unpredictable animal behavior
- property damage caused by pets
Client voluntarily assumes these risks.
6. Hold Harmless and Release of Liability
Client agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Working for Wags LLC, its owners, employees, independent contractors, agents, and representatives from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, attorney’s fees, or expenses arising out of or relating to:
- injury or illness to the Client’s pet(s)
- death of the Client’s pet(s)
- actions or behavior of the Client’s pet(s)
- damage caused by the Client’s pet(s)
- injuries to third parties caused by the Client’s pet(s)
- property damage resulting from the Client’s pet(s)
- emergency veterinary treatment
- transportation of pets
- services performed in good faith
This release does not apply to damages resulting from gross negligence, reckless misconduct, or intentional wrongdoing by Working for Wags LLC.
7. Existing Medical Conditions
Working for Wags LLC cannot guarantee the health of pets with pre-existing medical conditions or advanced age.
The natural progression of illness, age-related decline, or unforeseen medical emergencies shall not constitute negligence.
8. Aggressive or Dangerous Animals
Working for Wags LLC reserves the right to discontinue services if a pet displays behavior that presents an unreasonable safety risk.
Client remains financially responsible for scheduled services.
9. Property Damage
Working for Wags LLC will exercise reasonable care while in the Client’s home.
The Company is not responsible for:
- damage caused by pets
- pet bathroom accidents
- normal wear and tear
- leaks
- appliance failures
- acts of nature
- events outside our reasonable control
Client agrees to maintain homeowners or renters insurance.
10. Photographs
Client grants permission for Working for Wags LLC to photograph pets during services.
Photos may be used on social media, the Company website, or promotional materials unless Client opts out in writing.
11. Cancellation Policy
Client agrees to the Company’s current cancellation policies as published or otherwise communicated.
12. Payment
Payment is due according to Working for Wags LLC’s current policies.
Late payments may be subject to additional fees.
13. Entire Agreement
This Agreement represents the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes prior verbal or written agreements.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona.
Client Acknowledgment
I acknowledge that I have read this Agreement in its entirety. I understand that pet care involves inherent risks. I voluntarily accept those risks and agree to release and hold harmless Working for Wags LLC as described above. I certify that all information provided regarding my pet(s) is accurate and complete.
